Beaded Yo Yo Heart
I have been working up patterns and kits for these for a few days. I have been asked to teach this at 4-H Camp in July.
I was thrilled to create a new idea for the youth camp. The age range is 3rd graders - 9th graders so I needed something simple to encourage the younger ones to give it a try but not not so simple that the older ones would be bored by it.
This is what I have designed for them.

As you can see the idea sort of started with my beaded button bangle pins, but I changed it up a bit to make something that girls in the age range would like better.
the heart yoyo is a newer concept for me. I saw the Clover brand templates and had to give the hearts a try. I made one for a cell pouch awhile back and loved it. I was pretty sure that it would be a "hit" with the camp director and the craft director too. Well when all said and done after several emails between the director and me I got the job.
woo hoo!!! This will be the largest number of kits I have produced for a teaching engagement to date.
I am really looking forward to the experience.
