Crochet Pouch with embroidered embellishments
This piece was alot of fun to create. It is a new concept for me to embroider on a crocheted piece.
The concept came about from the fiber. It is a nice cotton fiber with metallic gold twisted with it. It also has lumps in it. It reminds me of the wool my mother would spin on a drop spindle with bumps and lumps running thru it.
The piece was single crochet through out. It measured 5 1/2 " by 7".
After crocheting the "fabric" I then embellished it with feather stitching, woven wheels and whipped wheels . I added some flower shaped sequins with seed bead anchors , sequins and a few other beads.
I folded the piece in half right sides together so the seam would be center back crocheted it together. Next I turned it right side out and whip stitched the bottom closed.
To finish the pouch I will twist fibers for the handle and add the dangles to the side.
