This is a bag I am working on . I am incorporating the TAST stitches into this piece. I am having fun with this piece and letting the fabric pattern tell me where the stitching should go. (Sounds nutty right? But the fabric speaks to my creative side) .
These photos show some of the ways I used the sheaf stitch on the bag. My favorite is the spot motif above. I will be adding beads to this motif. It is stitched in size 12 perle cotton. I am going to stitch this motif again and try it with different thread weights to see what it does to change the look of it.
This is my sample stitched on Aida cloth to explore the stitch possibilities. I used various thread weight to work this sample. I also varied the number and lengths of the legs to creat different variations.
