This was a new stitch for me . After some reassurance from Sharon that I had the mechanics of the stitch down I began to explore it until I ran out of room on my sample size piece of 14 ct. Aida cloth.
The first 2 rows were getting the flow going.
The 3rd row I tried different lengths and slants on the legs of the stitch. Some of these were a success but others I felt changed the look of the stitch too much for me.
The 4th row I created the band that I am going to try on a seam later with beads added.
The 5th row is my favorite. I am going to use the stacked concept to make another cell phone pouch.
the circle in the 5th row will make a nice spot motif with beads between the stitches for shimmer.
Overall I was pleased with the sample for this stitch. It is fun to learn new stitches and explore the possibilities for their use.
