I'm all caught up on the challenge stitches finally.
This is a small sample to get the groove of the stitch. I needed to use a heavier thread for this aida cloth I can see too much canvas for my taste.
This butterfly is long and short stitch for the inside of the wings and cast on stitch to frame the wings. Bullion knots make up the body and head. I was very pleased with the results of this sample.
